Yay! Another year!

I'm still here, still semi-active in the TTRPG creative department. Too tired with people to participate in any online activities such as social media and stuff. Too burned out with Pain RPG to finally finish, playtest and release it. Too tired to care.

But it doesn't mean I'm done. Actually, for the last month or two I've been working on another generic supplement, called the Aldarien's Magic Tome. And it will be about - you guessed it - magic! Random tables with strange items, even stranger item names, tons of magic-related rumors (dunno, 200-1000 of them, depending on my mental state, haha), NO SPELLS. There are amazing spell crafters in the community that are way better than me - and you should relate on their creativity and talent more than on mine - at least in the case of magical spells. Here you can fint the finest example of them all.

Right now, the supplement is about halfway done (still fighting with the rumors) and will have like 50-70 A5-sized pages. Maybe I will find power to make some (non-AI) artwork for it. Maybe it will remain as text-only. Who knows.

And they mustn't be totally useless, especially when used to impair the opponent's abilities. Eg, Potion of Hiccups may make casting spells impossible, sweaty hands may drop held items, logorrhea is generally not very helpful in quiet environments and Potion of Tooth Decay may actually be very nutritious. And Air Breathing may save aquatic beings from suffocation. And you can sell one's dandruff as fake speed. Sorry.

Gods of Nothingness

 

My new upcoming shit! Will be available this millennium! Some more info:

• HOL-inspired, hand-written pile of bullshit (inspired in terms of visual appeal - or rather, lack of thereof);
• Incoherent, abstract, unusable and UGLY AS SIN.
  
• Ramblings of the insane about the weird-ass deities. No rules, no AI-art, all written and drawn by me.
• Treat as the in-game item - there will be no stats, randomness, no introduction, TOC, nothing. Print it and toss right in the face of your players.

In all honesty, I hope to finish working on it this year - but it's kinda hard to determine when it will be finished, as I'm improvising the shit out of the idea that came into my mind, well, few hours ago. Or yesterday. Can't remember. Yes, I'm sober.

Year Thirteen

Yes. 13 is many years. I like to blog, I do not like schedules.

But you know what? I do not owe anything to anyone in terms of releasing my shit on any kind of schedule. In fact, no one can force me to release my shit at all! Pain is complete and still unreleased. I think it's a really good game - but I cannot make it happen. I still have no strength to finish the artwork. And I don't have - and most likely will never have - strength to promote my games, my music, my art.

And I don't fucking care.

I do have my day job and I can still afford to eat. And even though I like when people buy my stuff, I find it extremely stressful to promote myself and my creations. I find zero joy in doing any kind of promotion - even sending the review copies hurts my brain haha (especially because approximately 75% of all people who received the review materials never bothered to review them). So - fuck it. I don't care anymore. I just want to create and release shit, even if no one will ever read it, yet alone use it in his/her/its games. The process of creation should be the reward itself.

OK, so what are my plans for this year, in terms of hobby?

None, to be honest. I never was able to keep up with promises, so fuck them. I do work on something new/old/whatever right now (another successor of the Terminal Space) but it will be quite big, with weird artwork and totally packed with gibberish nonsense. But it will take me years to complete it. So no promises.
