It's almost over (2) - plans for 2014

Yesterday I wrote about things I managed to do in 2013, today I want to write something about my RPG-related plans for the upcoming year.
  • Obviously, Volume Three is one of my main goals for 2014. Everything I want to include in it is already written but I must sit and create the booklet. I don't know if I should release it for free or maybe try to sell it, as I did with the Volume Two. But sales of the Volume Two were terrible..
  • Underworld Kingdom Volumes 1-3 - book containing the first three volumes of the Underworld Kingdom campaign. Reason - much better price for the printed version on Lulu.
  • My Dying Earth pastiche - I'm still working on it and I don't think I will be able to complete / release it in 2014. But I plan the long series of posts about it, containing information about the world, creatures, magic and artifacts.
  • Bandits and Battlecruisers Supplement - Alien Artifacts. Mr. Wight (dude who wrote 2 or 3 posts here in 2011) is helping me with it and I hope it will be released in January.
  • Space Alphabet - well, I can't promise anything but I'll try. Hard.
  • Make more of my stuff available via RPGNow. I'm trying to force myself to do it for 3-4 months now. And due to their insane PDF optimization requirements it's not an easy task (well, it's easy but requires one of the most recent versions of Acrobat, which I don't own). But I promise I'll do it in the first quarter of 2014 :)
  • Post more creative content!
Of course I have more still unfinished projects but I'm not sure about them. But I will try to do my best :)

And I wish you a Happy New Year!

It's almost over...

Let's face the facts - 2013 is almost dead. And it wasn't very creative year, at least RPG-wise.
  • During the most of the 2013, I managed to run or play RPG sessions at least once per week. And it's good amount of gaming for me, although still I want more :)
  • I managed to release the Bandits and Battlecruisers, my first "big" release. AFAIK it's not very popular. Up to this day, 56 PDFs were sold via RPGNow, 23 PDFs were sold via Lulu and 22 prints were sold via Lulu. In addition, booklet was downloaded 202 times during the 2013 Free RPG Day. Pretty satisfying result, at least for me :)
  • FINALLY I managed to release the first two volumes of my Underworld Kingdom campaign. Volume One was released for free and was downloaded 115 times via Lulu, previeved on Box.com 240 times and downloaded via Box.com 199 times. Even 4 physical copies were sold!
  • Volume Two is my least successful release (I'm afraid it simply sucks lol) - I managed to sell 11 PDFs and 2 prints.
  • Due to other activities, I failed to finish any other project, including the Nameless City series of blog posts and 100 random space encounters. I hope I'll be able to release more things in 2014.
I think I forgot about something important so be prepared for the part two tomorrow :)

Interface of the Alien Devices (Bandits and Battlecruisers first supplement preview)

As I mentioned yesterday, I started writing the first (free) Bandits and Battlecruisers supplement, called the Alien Devices. It will contain twenty (or more) new ship components, all of them created by some mysterious (and unspecified) alien races.

This random table may be handy during determination of the device's interface - obviously, most of alien creations have strange and non-intuitive (at least for humans) methods of operating them:

BandB PDF PRICE DROP and other minor news

Well, I must admit that I fucked it up. Almost no new releases this year, little new random tables (or any creative content) posted on this blog, no Perilous Path updates, no Space Alphabet, literally nothing new in the second part of the year, except the Volume Two.

Before I start to explain myself, I want to announce the permanent price drop of the Bandits and Battlecruisers PDFs, both on Lulu and RPGNow. Buy it, I need a bass guitar ;)

Sooo, about the reasons for my inactivity - besides the EVE Online, which is the main reason, I was creating lots of different music (among the others - Polymatrix, my synthwave project), both as a job and hobby. Also I was playing the Path of Exile but ridiculous difficulty curve refrained me from wasting even more time with this game :D

Nevertheless, it wasn't completely fruitless period - I think I'll be able to release the Volume Three in about 1-2 months. Also, I think about releasing some small (and free) supplement for the BandB - unfortunately, not the one with spaceships I promised long time ago :(

About my gaming activity - we're still playing the (modified) 1e WFRP, still The Enemy Within campaign :) Players are stuck in Middenheim, in a middle of the carnival, so I think we should be able to finish the campaign within the next six-seven months :D

Unfortunately - there are also some bad news - I ran out of the spaceship pics (but I will try to find something new), so probably there will be no more Spaceship Sundays :(

Spaceship Sunday - Pirate Nations

Last post with EVE Online spaceships. Some pirate nations have ships based on designs of other factions, but some have their own, unique designs, one of the best in the game. Enjoy!
